AUTHENTIC PARALLEL UNIVERSE DEFINED! The tRUMP UPSIDE DOWN

OK, so I finally tumbled to the real story here.  Glommed onto the truth behind what’s going on, although I admit it took me a while.  I know, I know, I’m not a front-row brainy hand raiser in the class, like most of you. It takes me a little longer to get it.

But here’s the thing.  (Or is that phrase out now that Obama-ism is “dead,” they tell us?)

We have not recently discovered the existence of parallel universes, so much as we have switched to one of them.  Yeah!  Get it?  It’s the one where everything is upside down, muddled up and odiferous.  Like what you’d expect to see in a Stranger Things spinoff series. 

We should call it the tRUMP Upside Down even – my vote anyway -- just to be clear on where we are at!

I mean look, everyone is howling like a countrywide protest mob, about immigrants coming to take our jobs and commit crimes, even in places where the last immigrant they have ever seen was their progenitors after WWII.  Excoriating the very existence of immigrants is the slogan of the day in our country of immigrants. 

And yet,worse, we are all worshipping at the altar of immigrants who have taken our jobs and committed crimes.  To wit:  (That’s a thing lawyers and academics say when they are laying out their evidence, roughly translated as ‘I got the facts here, yo!’ 

·       South African native, Elon Musk!  (Buying votes is certainly illegal, without us needing to go to all the past accusations his money has allowed him to squelch, including most strikingly, at the very beginning of his immigration to the US, his working in the US illegally, before he was authorized or naturalized in the way he insists everyone else should be.) 

·       Vivek Ramaswamy the scion of Indian immigrants, born in this country supporting a president who expressly intends to end 14th Amendment citizenship by birth.

·       Grand immigration-hate pioneer himself, native Australian, Rupert Murdoch, of course.

The true story in the trump Upside Down then?  We only hate immigrants who are not billionaires or anti-immigration advocates!

Following that line of thinking, and the associated personages, just a little further, look at the wonderful upside-down-ness of our efforts at cost cutting in the new reality!  In the old reality, the parallel universe we just left, it used to be just that Republicans hammered on the issue, feigning the most outrageous outrage imaginable, while shamelessly, but sorta secretly, running up the debt.  (Bush with his personal wars in which so many people he had never met died; or trump’s tax cuts for the wealthy, as just two examples.) 

But now, with the fresh in-your-face energy of the – you got it now -- the TUD  we turn the job over to billionaires who have proven not that they know the first thing about saving or tight budgets but rather that they can spend our money like water!  How perfectly alternative universe is that!?  I mean all you have to do is read up a little on how Musk used US government research and federal contracts to build companies that have made him the richest man in the world (when we Americans do irony, we do it better and more completely than any other country in the world.  And henceforth herein – more lawyer talk – I’ll be abbreviating that, “any other nation in the world,” as AONTW, because it gets used so much, so often.  Oh and, to save a LOT of space, upside down and all that implies should be just “UD!”), to realize the inherent UD-ness (a good thing now, see, in this new reality) of that!

But if you don’t read, as most of us do not anymore, no problem: it should be instantly obvious how perfectly UD it is to have billionaires like Musk and Ramaswamy, who deny themselves nothing (recall Musk fighting for his unwarranted and legally un-owed – hence the need to fight and all the court rejections – for ‘his’ $56 billion dollar extra payday, how beautifully UD is that?) lecturing all us pay-check to pay check money-wasters, including the lazy disabled and ‘goldbricking’ Medicaid/Medicare beneficiaries on how to squeeze the dollar’s eagle ‘til it screams!  Gotta save every penny, you know. 

Or so they tell us we need to do. 

But in the TUD that’s exactly the point.  Now we recognize we are only talking about saving every penny at the bottom.  Yup! TUD reality again!

If you were thinking of the irony about the way so many down-in-the-trenches grunts screamed their adulation of the Shirker in Chief who trashes the military and service members unmercifully (the dead WWII heroes buried in Normandy are now, we know, “losers”) and threatened anyone who just might hint at the irony!  That’s wild, yes! Amazing, yup.  But it’s also very old news.  You need to have more imagination to adapt to our new TUD.  

Really: get with the program!

In the grand new TUD we naturally choose brain-worm-damaged anti-vaxxer conspiracy theorists to protect our health, not even, but especially with a

And we choose billionaires who have never really had to worry about money for an hour in their lives Musk, but most saliently, the Grand Orange Poobah himself -- to defend the beleaguered working class.  I mean who else could we choose to save our middle class?  But again that would be backwards in our old reality, sure.  Now you see -- in the TUD -- it is right on the money, as they say.

If you see the pattern, you do not need to be reminded that in the TUD we assign all responsibility for protecting women's virtue to rapists and abusers (trump, Hegseth for female service members...).

Or that we believe multiply failing business losers (trump, again, but others, including SO saliently Peter Navarro) to run the country "properly" and save the economy that is not even in serious trouble now.

I could go on and on. But hopefully now so could you. We are in this together. Let's celebrate this new parallel universe together. Or at least laugh together.

None of this can just be called ‘stupidity,’ either, because that’s old reality.  And we all know Americans are among the most Savvy People in the History of the World.  The talking heads remind us of this every day, in case we should ever forget.  No, it’s like the new right first said during the “W” Bush administration.  We are defining our own new reality.  What’s that you ask?  Well, yeah, as I say, I’ll tell you:
